•   Ika Africa Book Bag Drive

Every rural African village has children everywhere. Their beautiful smiles, their scruffy dusty little bodies, runny noses and skimpy clothing all worked together to burn a lifelong impression on your heart. Seeing the schools where they go to for lessons, and talking with their teachers you would appreciate the real need and an awesome opportunity to reach out and help; to make a difference in their lives, to be a blessing to hundreds, and in time even thousands of God's little children.

  •     New Equipment - for IMWP

Progess towards the purchase large portable air compressor to IMWP has all but ground to a halt. The Ika Mission Water Project needs a portable air compressor. The Ingersoll Rand 200psi/400cfm Air Compressor like the one I've used at The Haven Of Hope, in Jos, Plateau State is a good example of what we need. With an air compressor we will be able to drill, develop and do maintenance on wells faster. Complemented with a DHT (Down The Hole Hammer) and accessories we will enable to return to places where people have been disappointed because our equipment limitations at present make it impractical, if not impossible, to drill through the hard rock formations in their areas. Being able to drill, develop, and do maintenance on wells faster, more economically, and efficiently, means we have more money and time to reach out to more people. We will be able to give people in need pure clean drinking water - the gift of life, and souls in need of the savior, the wonderful message of God's Great Love.

  •     Water Testing Lab For IMWP

Plans are in the making to set up water quality testing facilities here on the Ika Mission compound.  With more wells provided for communities each year we have a growing concern about the quality of water we are providing.  Our longer range goal is to develope a program for testing and monitoring the quality of drinking water in our area, and all the wells we have provided. The lab will be staffed by IMWP personal and managed in conjunction with our water well drilling and maintenance programs. We see this service becoming a valuable asset to the IMWP's ministry; with great potential for it's services to be saught after by other NGO's and government ministries concerned about the quality of the water people are drinking.
